Welcome to the 3rd Friday Durham Art Walk at Golden Belt, a historic building with 35 studios. Three times a month they open their doors for an open studio. I had the chance to sell things, along with local stylist, Juliana Aul, on the patio of Clayton Oxford– sustainable furniture, husband and wife team. It was my first time in the area, the residences of Bldg 5 are great loft spaces with outdoor patio space and the Bldg 3 studios were the prefect size. I collected images from the art walk. Be sure to visit the artists’ webpage, like them on facebook, go to the next art walk, whatever you can do to support independent artists. And remember to bookmark them for when you start your holiday shopping (I know- I’m probably the only person that starts thinking about that in September!) xox-riv
